Web Features
Authorized Web User can access the service using registered Google Apps™ account to:
- Add and manage Mobile Users (GPS devices and smart phone users)
- Track location of Mobile Users
- Communicate with smart phone users
- View and download reports
Contacts
Contacts are Mobile Users including GPS devices and smart phones running Connector Mobile Apps.
Add Contact
Web Users may add new contacts and assign them to different Groups.
For smart phone users, a Web User creates the Client Names and Client Passwords and assign them to the Mobile Users for the mobile app to login.
For GPS device, the Device ID could be a unique identity of the individual hardware provided by the device manufacturer that is not changeable (e.g. Sierra Wireless routers). The Device ID may also be a name programmable by the user (e.g. Daviscomms trackers) or the IMEI number of the device (e.g. SANAV GPS devices). The Server IP/URL and Port Number for sending location updates will be displayed after the device make and model is selected.
Contact Groups
Web Users may create and assign Mobile Users to a group for ease of management.
List Contacts
Contacts List let a Web User list all contacts with their data and statuses. Data fields can be selectively hidden and listing can be filtered by Contact Group. It also provides access to:
- Set Email Notification
- Start/stop tracking (for GPS Devices)
- Messaging – group broadcast and individual conversation
- Add notes (Calendar)
- Edit contact
- Delete contact
Messaging
Web Users can communicate with smart phone users through the in-built messaging feature of the Connector Mobile Apps.
Text Message
Send and receive text message.
Picture Message
Send and receive images.
Voice Message
Send and receive audio (natural voice) message.
Map Point
Send a single way-point to smart phone user by entering the coordinates or simply click the location on the map.
Route Information
Send route information to smart phone user by entering the coordinates or simply click the source and destination points on the map.
Select route by specifying the source and destination point. This can be done by right-clicking on the map.
Map View
View current locations of Mobile Users (GPS devices and smart phone users) on Google Maps™ .
Click on individual user to view summary and access conversation thread with the user.
Choose an optimal view:
- Filter by contact Group
- Fit all tracked users in map
- Filter by device type
- Track individual user
Toggle between map/satellite/hybrid view.
Proximity Alert
Set proximity alert on a location and get alerted when a Mobile User moved within the pre-defined radius from the location.
Messaging
Unread messages are listed on the left column. Click to access message conversation with the Mobile User.
Reports
Daily Route
Check daily route travelled by selected user. Estimated time and distance travelled are shown.
Group Data
Check the total distance travelled for a group with individual breakdown for a specified date range.
Reports can be downloaded as CSV file.
Client Usage
Analyze the usage of a selected Mobile User.
